Generally speaking, compliance audits
do not fulfil
any of the three criteria
required
for a course action
to be successful:
They are not progressive, as they are limited to
checking current situations, instead of putting
them into perspective and instigating change.
They are not all-encompassing as they are sporadic, they follow
a segmented technical “one problem, one solution” type approach,
as well as a “mechanical” approach.
They are biased and only rarely the result of a sincere
and resolute strategy and willingness to deal with the
issues and improve the fate and conditions of the workers.
